Ostend Air College believes that an easy transition from a training aircraft onto the current generation of airliners can only be guaranteed when the training aircraft is equally advanced.  Therefore in 2007 OAC decided to switch to a uniform DIAMOND DA40/DA42 fleet. These composite aircrafts have a state of the art Garmin 1000 glass cockpit and are more fuel efficient than any other predecessor.

In 2011, our single engine fleet was increased to 4 Diamond DA40 with Glass Cockpit, and is part of OAC's strong growth and the associated increase in flying hours.  Number 4 was a Diamond DA40NG, with registration OE-DDC, equipped with Synthetic Vision Technology.  OAC remains thus an early adopter of the latest technology.  Moreover, this DA40NG is the first aircraft of its kind in the Benelux.  Training with the most modern technology will optimize our students' preparation for a future job as an airline pilot and will increase their chances for employment.
