ELP (English Language Proficiency) test

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has global commitments based on the knowledge level of English for airline pilots and air traffic controllers.

All pilots and air traffic controllers of the radio system must, through their license, demonstrate that they have a knowledge 4, 5, or 6 for the use of the English language in radio communications.
This requirement is to ensure that the radio communication between pilots and air traffic controllers is clear.

The ELP test evaluates the language in the 6 Proficiency Criteria (for the 6 ICAO levels):

* Pronunciation

* Structure

* Vocabulary

* Fluency

* Understanding

* Interactions

Ostend Air College organizes in cooperation with Aero Solutions ELP test for its students.
