Instructor Rating Instrument flying: IRI(A)

  Organization

The theory and practical courses to obtain the  IRI (A) license is organized by Ostend Air College B/FTO-001.
The lessons take place at Ostend Air College, Nieuwpoortsesteenweg 945B, 8400 Oostende.

 Admission requirements

The admission requirements mandate candidate must meet the following requirements before he is able to enroll for this course:
  Possess a JAR aviation medical certificate class 1
  Sufficient knowledge of the English language
  Meet the requirements of JAR-FCL 1.395mma      

Program

The training IRI (A) is based on the European Directive JAR FLC 1395.

 Theory

9 hours pedagogical formation, out of which
1st session of 3hrs (in class) = taught by IRI
2nd session of 3hrs (in class) = taught by IRI
3rd session of 3hrs (in class) = taught by students assessed by IRI

 Practical

5 hours flight training that may occur on the (DA40aircraft or on the FNPTII AL200-DA42/DA42, as chosen by the student, including one hour of qualifying check on aircraft by IRI.
Option 1: 5 hours DA40 aircraft, of which 1 hour qualififying check on plane.
Option 2: 4 hours and 1 hour qualifying FNPT2 check on aircraft DA40

  Final Exam
